This seminar is intended for Control Engineers, Safety Development, or Risk Analysis that are pursuing safety-related electronic systems applicable to the original safety standard, IEC 61508. IEC 61508 standard was the first standard for functional safety of electrical /electronic and programmable electronic systems. This course will explain the first three parts of IEC 61508. We will demonstrate different topics and work products that must be documented and delivered. The safety lifecycle key processes will be explored and the responsibility that comes with functional safety.

Day 1: Overview of functional safety management and analysis
Day 2: Safety Development and Evaluation of Hardware requirements;
Day 3: Safety Development and Evaluation of Software requirements;
On-line Certification Test
After the three-day workshop, the trainees have the opportunity to take an online, three-hour Certification test. This option is available for trainees for up to 30 days after the training. The Successful completion of >60% correct answers by participants, will receive a Professional Functional Safety Engineer Automotive – PFSEA certificate provided by DEKRA, a recognized certification house. The PFSEA logo can be printed on your business card and displayed in official correspondence.
