Private training brings the instructor-led course curriculum and Siemens-certified instructors directly to you - how, where, and when you need them. With several students to train, you can save on travel time and associated costs if our Siemens instructor comes to your facility. You can also opt for virtual delivery to maximize cost savings.

Virtual classes offer increased flexibility in delivery times, typically breaking up the training into 4-5 hour segments each day instead of full days. This allows participants to address daily tasks without impacting productivity.

Professional hands-on training from certified Siemens Digital Industries Software instructors at your facilities

Private training can be tailored to include specialized mix of topics from our standard classes to help address specific training objectives. We provide a graphics workstation for every student so they can individually work with the software at their own pace. All of our instructors successfully complete a rigorous certification program to expand technical product knowledge before delivering customer classes. To ensure high-quality training after certification, they keep their skills up-to-date through ongoing professional development.

 

Tailored and custom courses

We can even develop custom courseware (at a negotiated fee) to fit your company's specific products, processes, and people to ensure immediate productivity gains.

Cloud-based Training Options

We offer customers an option to participate in our training classes from their location with no local installation requirements. A fully functional PLM software environment will be prepared for you to complete your hands-on classroom activities via cloud based virtual machines.

Planning a Class

Setting up a productive training environment

A partnership for success

It is our goal to deliver world class training so that you become proficient with our software in an efficient and effective manner. To achieve this goal, we like to create the feeling of an off-site training center at your location, to ensure that the sole focus is learning.

 

To get the maximum value from your training event, we recommend the following:

  • Move the classroom workstations into a "training room" so that outside interruptions are minimized.
  • Limit class size to a maximum of sixteen attendees, with no more than two students per workstation.

 

In preparation for a customer-site class, it is expected that Siemens Digital Industries Software and our customer fulfill the following responsibilities:

 

Siemens Digital Industries Software will provide:

  • Siemens Digital Industries Software-certified instructor.
  • Any required part files, data files, and electronic activity files that are to be installed in the local training environment used for the class.
  • Xcelerator Academy accounts which may be used to supply electronic training materials to each student during class.
  • Temporary software licenses - if needed - for the students attending the course.
  • Access to post class resources via Xcelerator Academy, including a certificate of completion for each student.

 

 

The customer will provide:

  • A roster of enrolled students submitted one week prior to the class start date. This roster must include each student's first name, last name, e-mail address, and organization name.
  • An appropriate training room in which to conduct the class, which must be a quiet room with ample space for the instructor to lecture and the students to complete hands-on activities.
  • Required equipment to support the instructor's lectures (computer projector and screen or a large wall mounted monitor (e.g., 75")).
  • Adequate computer equipment (one workstation per student is strongly suggested) with required software currently installed. Some classes require specific network configurations (detailed instructions will be provided).
  • Any specified breaks, lunches, etc.
  • Agreement that all provided electronic training files will be removed from their computer equipment at the conclusion of class, if applicable.
  • Internet access to reach Xcelerator Academy accounts for student (if possible).
