PRIMARY COURSE TOPICS

Part 1: Global Autonomous Automotive Activities.

We start by discussing activates and strategies presented by the US NHTSA. We then discuss regulation in Europe and the world by discussing activates at the UNECE, the world's largest vehicle legislative body. We then move to the private sector to discuss Global NCAP and the autonomous testing and rating system. 

Part 2: SOTIF Strategy. Understanding the strategy for SOTIF requires you understand the steps in developing and autonomous system. We discuss the functional system and quickly move into identifying and evaluating hazards, limitation, and triggering conditions. Next we discuss how to evaluate known and unknown scenarios and the development of a validation strategy. 

Part 3: System Theoretical Process Analysis STPA. Hardware and Software Development per ISO 26262 will show requirements and recommendations from the automotive perspective. This part provides a clear understanding of the requirements process and documentation for one of the most mature industries and standards.

Part 4: SOTIF Guidance. We conclude by bring all of this together with SOTIF goals and guidance.  Guidance on arguments, system analysis and V&V and special topics will ready you for your autonomous development.
