Course Overview

The Calibre Fundamentals: DESIGNrev course will teach you to analyze, compare, and manipulate layout data using Calibre DESIGNrev, Calibre’s state-of-the-art layout viewer. This course teaches you the basics as well as best practices. More importantly, it introduces you to the functionality you might otherwise not even think to look for because it’s that new! In addition, this course provides an introduction to DESIGNrev’s batch scripting functionality, which provides the power of DESIGNrev without the overhead of the graphical user interface. Using Calibre DESIGNrev in batch mode, you can automate chip assembly, as well as layout manipulation and reporting.

Hands-on lab exercises will reinforce lecture and discussion topics under the guidance of our industry-expert instructors.

  • Familiarity with concepts of physical verification or layout design
  • Familiarity with the UNIX operating systems
