This course is designed for those who are interested in the noise induced by fluid. Fluid-Borne-Noise can be classified into quadrupole noise(mainly turbulent noise), volume fluctuations, loading noise. In the general industry, a lot of efforts are being made to reduce the noise caused by fluid-borne-noise from the rotating machinery / duct / cavity, etc. In this course, we will talk mainly about aeroacoustics simulation methodologies in STAR-CCM + which are direct noise calculation and hybrid method, FW-H and APE. In addition, you will learn how to set the grid and time step size and the appropriate solver settings to consider in the actual analysis as a best practice.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This course is intended for proficient STAR-CCM+ users who want to simulate aeroacoustics regarding generation and propagation based on numerical method especially induced by fluid dynamics
